Judging from the global distribution of lithium resources, China's lithium reserves account for 22.12% of the world's total, while Qinghai Province accounts for more than 80% of the country's lithium resources. Since most of the salt lakes in Qinghai belong to the high-magnesium lithium salt lakes, the high content of magnesium resources has greatly increased the difficulty of mining, and its mining methods have always been a worldwide problem. In addition to the need to develop lithium resources, along with the rapid growth of the global energy storage industry, the construction of China's energy storage power stations has also been put on the agenda.

At present, the number of new energy vehicles in the world exceeds 2 million, and most of them use lithium batteries for energy storage. The installed capacity of power system peak-shaving frequency-modulated energy storage has reached 168 million kilowatts, of which 1.7 million kilowatts are using battery energy storage, and there is ample room for development of battery energy storage.
