New Autodesk Strategic Relationships Highlight Investment in MEP

By Steven Butler, Industry Strategy Manager, MEP & Fabrication, Autodesk

If you're reading this in an office, you're probably surrounded by the direct impact of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design on your daily experience. Take a moment to look around—how is the lighting in your workspace? Is the temperature just right, not too hot, not too cold?

These small but essential details are all shaped by MEP systems. They ensure a comfortable and functional environment for building occupants while also playing a key role in sustainability. Proper MEP design helps reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions, making buildings more environmentally responsible.

That’s why Autodesk continues to invest in partnerships that enhance our Revit platform with tailored MEP solutions. By working closely with global industry leaders, we’re helping engineers and designers deliver smarter, more efficient building designs across different markets.

One such partner is NYK Systems, based in Japan. They’ve developed Rebro, a specialized tool for contractors focused on detailing, construction modeling, and documentation. As an Autodesk Solution Associate, NYK will help provide a more integrated project lifecycle solution for the Japanese market.

Another key partner is Izumi System Planning, also from Japan. Their software, STABRO, supports MEP design, calculation, and analysis. As an Autodesk Solution Associate, Izumi brings BIM-centric workflows to Japanese engineers, integrating modeling with localized system calculations and analysis.

In France, ALPI offers a powerful electrical design solution called Caneco BT. As an Autodesk Industry Partner, ALPI enhances the electrical capabilities of Revit MEP by providing tools that meet regional design and documentation standards.

"These partners bring deep local expertise and knowledge of their respective markets," said Gary Wyatt, Senior Industry Strategy Manager at Autodesk. "By collaborating with them, we can offer comprehensive BIM solutions rather than isolated tools. This means more professionals around the world can leverage BIM to create better, smarter buildings."
