Autodesk Dublin Demonstrates Its Entrepreneurial Drive With Rapid Team Growth

From the moment you step into the Autodesk Dublin office, you’re greeted by an energetic atmosphere and a team full of passion. Just over 18 months ago, this space was just the beginning of what would become Autodesk’s EMEA hub. Now, it's a thriving center of innovation and collaboration. Join our team in Dublin and come shape the future of making with us. We chose Dublin for its dynamic global business environment, access to top-tier talent, multilingual capabilities, and the high quality of life it offers. Over time, we’ve learned a lot, but one thing is clear—Dublin is a vibrant, multicultural, and creative city that perfectly aligns with Autodesk’s values and culture. In just 18 months, we’ve grown from a small team to over 230 employees. Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re expanding into an entirely new floor at our office on 1 Windmill Lane, doubling our capacity to 400 people. Earlier this year, we had the honor of hosting Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, and Minister Patrick Breen for our official office expansion event and ribbon-cutting ceremony. This growth is a testament to the strength of our team and the incredible talent available in Ireland. The city has a strong appeal to international professionals, and today, we have over 30 nationalities working together under one roof, collaborating with Autodeskers and customers worldwide. Martin Gurren, a Client Services Director and site lead for Autodesk in Dublin, has witnessed the journey firsthand. “It’s been an incredible experience watching the team grow and build a strong sense of community. This office plays a key role in supporting both our EMEA and global teams, helping us drive Autodesk’s mission to help people imagine, design, and make a better world.” Collaboration with IDA Ireland has been crucial to our success. Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said: “Companies like Autodesk are drawn to Ireland because of the strong tech talent pool. It’s a great sign that they’ve decided to expand their presence here so quickly. I’d like to congratulate the Autodesk team on their continued growth and wish them even more success in the future.” Andrea Reger, a Senior Recruiter in Dublin, leads our local talent acquisition efforts. Her team was recognized at the Irish HR Champion Awards 2019, winning the award for Champion Talent Acquisition Programme. “Support from IDA and the local business community has been invaluable. Understanding the local workforce, incentives, and best practices helped us create a welcoming environment for all employees. Whether they're local or international, we ensure they feel at home from day one. Many also enjoy participating in community initiatives and education programs. We look forward to building a more inclusive and collaborative workplace in the years ahead.” Over 100 employees participated in the Dublin Pride Parade in July 2019, showing their commitment to diversity and inclusion. Led by Michelle Rogers, the HR team in Ireland is driving an employee engagement program that reflects Autodesk’s evolving culture. They’ve introduced several well-being initiatives focused on physical, mental, and social health. These programs will continue to evolve based on employee feedback. The Dublin office houses a wide range of functions, including R&D, engineering, localization, technical support, client services, sales, finance, operations, HR, and recruitment. Many of these teams are set to grow in the coming years. Additionally, we’re expanding our marketing and business development team in Dublin for construction solutions, supporting the EMEA market. Employees in Dublin took part in the Global Month of Impact in May through the Solar Buddy initiative, showcasing their commitment to making a difference. Raphael Racine, Senior Software Engineering Manager, has been with Autodesk for 22 years. “Relocating to Dublin was a great opportunity both professionally and personally. Building an international engineering team and bringing my family to experience this amazing city has been an adventure.” The new floor of the office was designed by Jenny Lum using Autodesk Revit. Each floor features familiar Autodesk office layouts, while drawing inspiration from iconic elements of Dublin, such as the River Liffey, Georgian architecture, and local street art. One highlight of the new space is the Product Experience Lab—a place where employees can experiment with Autodesk software and gain deeper insights into how our customers use it. Teams can attend workshops, share knowledge, and collaborate in this innovative space. Employees will also have the chance to explore manufacturing tools like 3D printing in the lab. With our ongoing success in Ireland, EMEA, and globally, we’re excited to continue growing the Dublin operation. Expanding our office space and hiring new talent is essential to supporting our ambitions. Attracting and retaining the right people is our priority, so we can continue helping our customers solve the challenges of design and making, not just in Ireland, but around the world.
