This work, which combines traditional Chinese culture with creativity and creativity, was created by a Swede.

The Swede gave himself a domineering Chinese name "Lin Ruihu." He is now an international student at the China Academy of Art. He has been able to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese for ten years. This set of works produced in three weeks, he named "Friends." On the surface, "Friends" are three ceramic bottles with speakers that can play music. However, from the perspective of the designer, Lin Ruihu believes that this is a fusion of modern and traditional Chinese culture.

Lin Ruihu studied at the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts for three years and became more obsessed with the study of traditional Chinese culture. “China’s culture is very historic”, but “Sometimes, I feel that the Chinese are not confident enough. In fact, Chinese culture has its own heritage. And it's very artistic. It should be more confident and carry forward."

With continuous exploration on the road of culture and art, Lin Ruihu is no longer satisfied with the absorption of traditional Chinese culture, but has slowly joined his own ideas, so he has created a series of “harmony between ancient and modern” such as “Friends”. s work.

“China’s former culture feels beautiful, but it is far from modernity.” Lin Ruihu took a lot of thoughts in the design of his works. He designed a chair that was modern in shape, but the material used was wood and painted with Chinese traditional colors. It felt very beautiful.

When it comes to art, Lin Ruihu thinks there are many differences between Chinese and foreign students. “Our vision and thinking are more lively. Chinese students have better technology than we do, but many ideas are not well realized.” Lin Ruihu believes that this is the difference between the two ratings. “Today, creativity is more important than technology. ”

Lin Ruihu also recommended to the reporter the work of Croatian student Betsy, which is a paper cut. The large red paper is cut into layers, and there are various flowers on the paper. “Bai Yida’s artistic accomplishments are highly valued by the teachers. Her works are also a combination of western and Chinese traditional paper-cut art,” said Lin Ruihu.

However, Lin Ruihu still confidently believes that his "Friends" is better, because "Art should not only stay in the exhibition hall, it should also enter people's lives."

In the future, Lin Ruihu intends to go to Jingdezhen to study and learn Chinese ceramics production techniques. He also intends to make a living from Chinese culture after graduating. “I will integrate Chinese culture into my works to produce exquisite and practically valuable life products.”

At the recent exhibition of "Four Seas Arts with the Same - The China Academy of Art International Students in China Exhibition", together with Lin Ruihu's "Friends", more than 100 paintings of 65 international students from more than 60 countries in the world are on display.
