Weichai natural gas engine through Russia Euro IV emission certification

Recently, Shandong Weichai Group's four series of natural gas engines, WP6NG, WP7NG, WP10NG and WP12NG, all received the ECER 49-05B1 Euro IV certificate issued by Russia's GOST and were officially allowed to enter Russia and other CIS countries. It is reported that Russia is one of the member countries of the ECE (European Economic Commission for the United Nations) and is currently implementing the Euro IV emission phase of the ECE regulations. This phase requires natural gas engines to use two gases of high calorific value GR and low calorific value G25 for two ETC transient cycles respectively. For tests, the ETC (European Transient Cycle) structure of each group of gases must meet regulatory limits. Through tests, the four series of natural gas engines from Weichai passed the emissions test. This not only signified that the quality of the Weichai natural gas engine was recognized by the most authoritative certification body in Russia, but also laid the foundation for the company to further open up the Eastern European market.
