As the ambient temperature decreases, its output capacity also decreases accordingly, resulting in a decrease in the power of the diesel engine air compressor start system; when the ambient temperature is low, the viscosity of the oil becomes larger, and the resistance between the frictions increases, so that the diesel air compressor The starting speed decreases, at the same time, the viscosity of the diesel oil increases, the quality of the spray atomization deteriorates, and the ignition lag period is prolonged; the air density and the oxygen content in the air decrease with the increase of the altitude, and the altitude is higher, the diesel engine air pressure The harder it is to start.
Under low temperature conditions, in order to ensure that all types of construction machinery can be safely put into use under cold conditions, daily maintenance should be done, and it is best to install a low temperature auxiliary starting system.
Common low-temperature start-up methods: (1) Select low-performance diesel engine air compressor oil. This type of air compressor oil has low temperature viscosity, good lubrication between friction pairs, and low starting resistance, which is good for starting. The multi-stage oil currently used, such as the number before 15W/40W, the better the low-temperature fluidity of the oil. Therefore, it is recommended to use 10W or 5W oil at low temperatures.
(2) Using a battery with good low temperature performance, if necessary, the battery can be insulated to ensure that it can be charged normally under low temperature conditions and has sufficient output current, thereby improving the power of the starting system.
