After entering the winter, the temperature is declining, and the various electrical equipment on the car should also be ready for the winter. Look at the following items that should be paid attention to in the winter maintenance.
Check to adjust electrolyte density. The density of the electrolyte can be appropriately adjusted to prevent the occurrence of an accident of a frozen battery case due to a low density of the electrolyte.
Strengthen the battery insulation. In order to prevent the battery from freezing and affect the start-up performance, a mezzanine insulated battery box can be made for the battery in winter to increase the temperature of the battery.
Increase the generator charging voltage. As the battery discharge capacity increases at low temperatures, the generator charge must be increased, and the regulator limit voltage can be appropriately increased. Under normal circumstances, the limit voltage of the regulator in winter is 0.6V higher than in summer.
Start the motor. In winter, it is difficult to start the engine and the number of starter motors is frequently used. If the starter power is insufficient, the engine start-up difficulty will be further increased. Practice shows that in the summer, if the starter is slightly faulty and the power is slightly insufficient, the start of the engine may be very smooth, but it will become difficult to start in the winter, or even start. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a thorough maintenance on the starter and keep the starter parts clean and dry. In particular, good contact between the brushes and the commutator should be maintained.
