Park Ridge apparatus updates
This message is from Bill Smaha: In 2013, the Park Ridge Fire Department acquired a new command vehicle: a Ford Expedition. It replaced an older 1998 Ford Econoline Van, which has since been reassigned as Utility 36 and also serves as a backup (reserve) command unit. Bill Smaha New unit for Park Ridge BN36. The new Ford Expedition was equipped with all necessary tools and lighting to ensure it could be used effectively in emergency situations. The old Econoline, while no longer the primary command vehicle, still plays an important role as a backup. It’s always great to see how departments evolve and improve their equipment to better serve the community. Bill Smaha has been capturing these changes through his photography, offering a valuable visual record of the department's development.
