Chicago 2-11, Level 2 Haz-Mat, & EMS Plan 1, 12-2-2014

This morning, I was out taking photos when I witnessed a massive explosion at a house located at 2148 W. 107th Place. The force of the blast was incredible, and within moments, flames were shooting high into the sky. It was absolutely terrifying yet fascinating to see how quickly the situation unfolded. Here are some images I captured showing the aftermath of the explosion and fire. The first photo gives you a clear view of the damage caused by the explosion. You can see just how much destruction occurred in an instant. [Image description: A house reduced to rubble with smoke still rising.] In the next image, you get a closer look at the extent of the devastation. Pieces of the structure are scattered everywhere, and emergency responders are already on the scene trying to assess the situation. [Image description: Firefighters examining the debris with water still spraying from hoses.] Here’s another shot that captures the chaos as it was happening. Emergency vehicles line the street, and there's a real sense of urgency among those involved in the rescue efforts. [Image description: Multiple fire trucks parked outside the damaged property.] And here’s one final image before I had to step back for safety reasons. The firefighters were working tirelessly to ensure no one was hurt and to contain the fire before it spread further. [Image description: Firefighters using ladders to reach higher parts of the building.] For anyone interested in seeing more photos, here’s the link to a full gallery: [http://312firephotos.smugmug.com/Chicago-Fire-Department-Fires/2014/211-Level-2-HazMat-EMS-Plan-1-](http://312firephotos.smugmug.com/Chicago-Fire-Department-Fires/2014/211-Level-2-HazMat-EMS-Plan-1-) It’s always shocking to see something like this happen so suddenly, but I’m grateful I could document it and share these images. Hopefully, they help people understand the severity of such incidents and the importance of safety measures.

Round Steel

Round steel is a kind of hollow cylindrical metal material, which is widely used in construction, machinery manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, energy, transportation and other industries.
Round steel is mainly made of carbon steel, alloy steel and tool steel.
Among them, carbon steel round steel refers to steel with carbon content within the range of 0.20% to 0.55%.
The production process of round steel is very diverse, including hot rolling, cold drawing and cold drawing.
Among them, the hot rolling production process refers to the steel material heated to a certain temperature, plastic deformation through rolling machinery and equipment, pressed into different specifications of the shape of steel.
The cold drawing process is the use of steel wire material for cold drawing, which can obtain a higher surface finish for the production of precision parts.
Cold drawing process is to draw steel in cold storage to obtain higher density, hardness and strength.
The wide application of round steel lies in its material characteristics and production process, which can meet the needs of different industries.
In construction projects, round steel is mainly used to build steel structure houses, large factories, Bridges, oil drilling platforms and oil mining equipment.
In the machinery manufacturing industry, round steel is mainly used to process gears, bearings, connecting rods, pins, shafts and other parts.
In the automobile manufacturing industry, round steel is mainly used to make auto parts, frames, suspension systems, guiding mechanisms and so on.
It is also widely used in energy, transportation and other industries.
