On September 14, 2006, the Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission organized a review session for the feasibility study report of the "Shaanxi Xi'an Highway Maintenance Technology Engineering Research Center." The meeting was attended by experts from the Communications Department's Accreditation Committee, the Xi'an High-tech Zone Management Committee, and professionals in the provincial highway industry. The purpose of the review was to evaluate the viability of establishing the research center within the new industrial park of the Xi'an High-tech Zone.
During the session, the Shaanxi Provincial Engineering Consulting Center presented the feasibility study report, while the supporting entity, Xi'an Gaoyuan Highway Maintenance Technology Co., Ltd., provided additional insights into the project's technical and operational aspects. Following the presentations, the committee conducted an on-site inspection and engaged in detailed discussions regarding the proposed research center's goals, infrastructure needs, and long-term impact on the region’s highway maintenance capabilities.
The experts unanimously concluded that the establishment of the "Shaanxi Xi'an Highway Maintenance Technology Engineering Research Center" is both necessary and feasible. They strongly recommended that the Provincial Development and Reform Commission approve the project at the earliest opportunity to ensure timely implementation and support for technological advancement in the highway maintenance sector. This initiative is expected to play a key role in improving infrastructure quality and promoting sustainable development in Shaanxi Province.
