**Introduction & Application of Planetary Roller Extruder**
The planetary group is the core component of the extruder, consisting of a planet barrel, a main spindle (sun), and several satellite spindles (screws) that rotate in harmony. The inner surface of the barrel and the outer surfaces of the satellite screws are designed with 45-degree helix threads. This special construction, made from hardened nitrided steel, ensures high resistance to corrosion and wear. The main and satellite spindles are also made from special steel and undergo induction heat treatment for durability.
Compared to traditional twin-screw or single-screw extruders, the planetary extruder offers significantly better plasticization and homogeneity—up to ten times more efficient.
