Hi everyone, I wanted to share some exciting updates on the new fire truck we’ve ordered. The unit is an SVI body mounted on a Sutphen Ambassador chassis. The chassis is set to arrive at the SVI plant next week, and we’re really looking forward to seeing it come together.

The current plan is for the truck to be completed by early fall, but I’m happy to say that the build is already ahead of schedule. That means it could potentially be ready a bit sooner than expected—so stay tuned for more news.

I’ve attached a PDF showing the preliminary graphics from SVI. These have been approved with one small change: the lettering will be done in gold leaf instead of the orange seen in the original design. I’ve also included a photo of the body sub-frame and six images showing the fabrication process. You can also view these photos on SVI’s website in the “Watch Your Truck Being Built” gallery at: www.svitrucks.com.
