During the 2016 Shanghai BMW Show, Michelin held the “Engineering Tire Day” series in Shanghai and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with domestic companies.

The theme of the event was "Choose the tires and change everything."

Michelin showed off its new product XDR3 in the mining industry and the engineering tire management system EMS3 (for real-time monitoring of tire pressure and temperature).

Sebastien Spangenberger, vice president and global marketing director of Michelin Engineering Tire, said Michelin has confidence in the Chinese market and will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the domestic construction machinery industry.

XDR3 tires are suitable for rigid dump trucks working in open pit mines and are a replacement for XD2.

The MEMS3 system has been tested in the Jiangxi Copper Mine and the China Coal Pingyi Group.

At the event, Michelin and Xugong Group signed a strategic framework purchase agreement and signed a strategic cooperation statement with the Northern Shares.

Previously, as the only tire supplier, Bruno DeFeraudy, President of Michelin (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the opening ceremony and new product launching ceremony of Xugong Group BMW.
