1. Introduction of Cement Making Machinery Cement rotary kilns are essential in the production of cement, where they are used to calcine clinker from limestone, clay, and other raw materials. Ensuring consistent quality requires maintaining a uniform temperature throughout the kiln's entry, mid-zone, and discharge. However, one of the main challenges is that temperature sensors must operate through flames or heavy smoke and dust, which can affect accuracy. To address this, our high-performance dual-wavelength sensors provide exceptional accuracy for cement kiln applications. These sensors can function effectively even when the target energy signal is diluted by up to 99% due to dust and smoke. For measurements through flames, the 1400 and 4400 Series are recommended, utilizing a narrow 3.8 micron filter to deliver reliable performance.

4. Principle of Cement Making Machinery The kiln is a cylindrical vessel inclined slightly to the horizontal, rotating slowly around its axis. Raw material is fed into the upper end of the cylinder. As the kiln rotates, the material gradually moves down towards the lower end, undergoing some stirring and mixing. Hot gases pass along the kiln, usually in the opposite direction to the process material (counter-current). These gases may be generated externally or by a flame inside the kiln, projected from a burner-pipe. The fuel can be gas, oil, or pulverized coal.
