Wednesday morning at 11 AM (April 1, 2015), Skokie firefighters were called to a house fire on Lincoln Avenue near 9163. At the time, multiple Skokie units were already out on emergency medical service calls. As they approached the scene, they noticed visible signs of fire, prompting them to request a Box Alarm even before arriving. This call for additional help brought support from neighboring departments including Evanston, Wilmette, and Morton Grove, along with reinforcements to cover shifts.
