Recently, Shanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. revealed that the most advanced geophysical survey vessel in Asia, the Ocean Oil 719, is set to be officially delivered and will head to the deep waters of the South China Sea in search of new oil and gas reserves for China. This state-of-the-art ship is equipped with eight "tentacles" capable of reaching depths of up to 6,000 meters, allowing it to collect detailed geological data from the ocean floor. As it cruises through the sea, the vessel can continuously transmit crustal structure information, marking a significant advancement in China's capabilities in geophysical engineering. The launch of the Ocean Oil 719 represents a major step forward in China's efforts to explore and develop its offshore energy resources, demonstrating its growing technological prowess in the field of marine geophysics.
