Emergency crews from Oak Park were called to a residential fire at 604 N. Grove just before 10 p.m. last night. Upon arrival, firefighters found flames on the second and third floors of a 2.5-story single-family home. Two hose lines were deployed from Engine 602 to the second and third floors, while a third line was used to tackle hot spots on the exterior of the structure. Firefighters worked for about two hours to bring the blaze under control. All residents, along with their pets—a dog and a cat—escaped without harm.

On scene, the following units responded: Oak Park Engine 602, Engine 603, Tower 631, Ambulance 611, Ambulance 612, Battalion 3, Forest Park Engine 401, and Cicero H&L 2. The response was swift and coordinated, showcasing the strong teamwork that defines the Oak Park Fire Department’s approach to emergency incidents.
