It is understood that the tooling breaks through the traditional process of turntable production, overcomes the technical difficulty of installing shaft sleeves, and realizes the assembly and production of turntable group tanks.

The use of the traditional box tooling shows the disadvantages of high labor intensity, time consuming, and low precision. The positioning of the parts of the turntable and the riveting are all done by the workers through the scribing and hanging line. Each riveter is required to record a large amount of dimensional data, and The technical requirements for the riveting work are high when the hanging line is crossed. Even careful and experienced riveters can hardly guarantee the consistency of the dimensional accuracy. This often leads to back-end processes requiring surfacing, cutting, school fires, etc., resulting in a waste of cost. The final mounting method of the turntable also increases the operating strength and prolongs the production cycle of the turntable. In addition, there are three reasons for impeding the pre-rolling process: First, it requires a high consistency in the dimensional accuracy of the positioning of all parts; Second, it requires the staff to control the welding deformation law to master the high technology; Third, the design of the tooling must be able to ensure riveting The necessary operating space for workers.

In order to solve the problems in the production process of the above turntables and realize great improvement in the process, the R&D department of the Process Technology Institute established a project team in 2013. Through careful discussion and analysis, the work ideas and work plans were determined. The project team decided to adopt a matrix method. The management model and IPD (Integrated Product Development) process management project set the basic principles of the turntable group box tooling program from the aspects of universality of tooling, ease of worker operation, and ample space for operations. During the project development process, the tooling room strictly controlled the tooling scheme, and successively convened technical experts, workshops, craftsmanship, quality, and other departments to review the program. Finally, in May 2013, the optimal plan was determined. After five and a half months of continuous coordination, follow-up and detailed optimization, the installation and commissioning of the tooling were finally completed in December 2013.

After a number of product production verifications, the current tooling operation, switching is simple, the operating space meets the requirements, not only to achieve the goal of replacing the existing manual dashing and hanging line, but also to achieve the 38-63M turntable group box welding equipment manufacturing, The final result exceeded the project team's expectations. The results show that it is feasible to place the jacketing process on the assembly box riveting process. After the tooling is put into use, not only the original welding error is reduced to 0-1mm, the time for marking and hanging wire is shortened by 30 minutes per station, and the original time length of 90-150 minutes can be saved, which greatly shortens the time.
