New ambulance for Bridgeview FD
This message is from Keith Grzadziel: The Bridgeview Fire Department is set to receive a brand new Wheeled Coach ambulance. It will be mounted on a 2019 Ford F-450 chassis with liquid suspension, making it our third Wheeled Coach in the fleet. We’re hoping to have it delivered by early next week at the latest. Currently, Ambulance 406 will be renumbered to 412 and placed into ready reserve status. Our existing spare unit, Ambulance 426, has been decommissioned and will be transferred to our EMA. Meanwhile, our current reserve ambulance, 409—which was purchased used from the Homer Fire Protection District—will now serve as our new spare. We're excited about this upgrade and look forward to having the new unit operational soon. It's always great to see the department grow and improve its capabilities for the community.
