Chicago 4-11 Alarm fire, 10-30-15

This is the first of several updates from today's fire at Irving Park and Drake on October 30, 2015. The incident began as a commercial structure fire, and it quickly turned dangerous when the roof collapsed near an overhead door, resulting in three firefighters being injured.

One of the images shows the Chicago Fire Department’s Snorkel unit in action, helping to douse the flames from above. Another panoramic shot gives a sense of the scale of the fire and the surrounding area. Local residents were seen watching from a distance, clearly concerned about the situation.
